The infantry taught me that a plan is only as good as the people executing it and the prep behind it. In the 11B world you brief the mission, walk the ground, check the gear, and then adapt the second reality hits. That's construction. We walk every job before we start, put the scope in writing, and when a hurricane or an inspection changes the picture, we adjust and keep moving. The Army also taught me leaders eat last. Our field crews are W-2 employees, not day labor, because taking care of your people is how you hold a standard. And it taught me follow-through. You don't leave an objective half taken, so we finish what we start, own our mistakes, and don't make excuses. Running Construction Corps is the same mission profile: take care of the team, take the objective, do it right.
